We created the first Puppy Play Groups in New York City 30 years ago. Providing pups with the opportunity to play with other pups during their critical period of development is one of the easiest and most fun ways to help set a foundation for safe and enriching encounters with other dogs throughout their lifetime.

Play groups are also a terrific outlet for a pups mental and physical energy.

Our goal is to help puppy parents by providing a place where they can confidently provide their pups with opportunities to develop and improve social skills. Play groups are for pups from 8-20 weeks, are for one hour, and are moderated by our experienced trainers.

If your pup is not currently a training student of ours, please be sure to contact us to discuss attendance prior to registering.

Curriculum

  • There are no transfers to other sessions nor refunds for play group registrations. Please do not ask us to make an exception. When registering you are agreeing to this policy.
  • Please arrive at least five minutes prior to the group. Late arrivals can be disruptive to the pups, most especially those who are in the process of developing confidence in a social setting.
  • Two pup family members may attend with each pup. At least one legal guardian/owner must be present.
  • If your pup is not currently a training student of ours, please be sure to contact us to discuss attendance prior to registering.

Details

Health Department mandated proof of vaccines, which vary according to age, are required. You must bring a printed copy to your first class or play group to give to the instructor to keep on location and you must bring an updated copy once your pup turns 16 weeks of age.

For dogs under 16 weeks, at least one round of vaccines is required. The veterinarian’s signature is not required on this document for dogs under 16 weeks of age. For dogs 16 weeks and older, the Health Department requires a signature from the veterinarian and must include rabies, parvovirus, parainfluenza, adenovirus, bordetella, and distemper. If your veterinarian chooses not to give your pup one or more of these vaccines, we must have a signed letter from them stating that it is contraindicated.
