This course will introduce you and your dog to the fun sport of dog agility. Learn the fundamentals of agility obstacles and groundwork for fun, fitness and teamwork building with your dog. Whether you dream of someday competing at Westminster or just want to have great time with your dog, this class is for you if your dog has a good foundation of manners training and has no reactivity issues with other dogs and/or people.

Introduce your dog to jumping, climbing, running and weaving through agility equipment using positive reinforcement techniques that will build your dog’s overall confidence and teamwork with you. This class is appropriate for dogs who are 5 months or older who have previously trained with us in group classes and/or private lessons. Two people may attend per pup.

  • Go through obstacles
  • Go under and over obstacles
  • Go arounds
  • See-saws
  • Weave poles
  • Balance balls
  • Improved attention

For dogs 5 months and older of any size, breed, or mix. Dogs should have no aggression history or reactivity issues. If you aren’t sure what this means, please contact us.

For dogs with a foundation in basic manners skills (such as attention, hand targeting, and sit, down, and stand) that have completed at least one group class and/or have taken private lessons with us.

The in-person course meets for one hour per class for four consecutive weeks (unless otherwise noted on the schedule) and is $350 for the course.

Two people may attend class with each canine student.

The class fee is non-refundable, non-transferable and there are no make-up classes for your course. We limit the number of students in a class (one person per pup may attend), so drop-in make up students would mean the class would be over the maximum.

You must provide us with a record your dog’s vaccination for rabies, parvovirus, parainfluenza, adenovirus, bordetella, and distemper which must be signed by your veterinarian. If your veterinarian chooses not to give your pup one or more of these vaccines at the time of class, we must have a signed letter from them stating that it is contraindicated. The stated proof of vaccine requirements are set by the Health Department. Entry to classes is not permitted without Health Department required proof of vaccinations. You must bring a hard/printed copy with you to the first class to give to the instructor to keep at the location.
